Stephan Hoffpauir
Stephan Hoffpauir is a photorealist watercolor painter based out of Oakland, California. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Hoffpauir is an architect who always had a knack for architectural renderings. Today his paintings are often mistaken for photographs with their amazing attention to detail. Whether concentrating on vernacular architecture or still life, Hoffpauir prefers to portray his subject from the unexpected vantage point.
Mac Ball
Architect and artist Mac Ball finds inspiration in the landscape and waterways of southern Louisiana. Born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Ball has painted since his teenage years, vacillating between abstraction and realism over time. The artist's paintings are modernistic with their reduced color palette and his angular, sketchy brushwork, and yet he retains the sense of place and narrative qualities of the landscape. Also known in New Orleans for his architectural work, Ball graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975.
Lawrence Linder
Lawrence is an accomplished architect and highly skilled designer. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and the Architectural Association School in London. His early work was in the office of Charles Moore and he credits that work as his real training in design. His long-time interest in cities and their planning histories can be read through the maps and graphics that he translates to spacial relationships.
Joan Griswold
Joan Griswold's small-scale paintings are powerful because of their intimate perspective. The oil painter's subjects range from landscapes, to interiors, to still life, and in every case, Griswold is a master of soft, impressionistic brush work with special attention dedicated to the atmospheric depiction of light.
